BPC-157, a 15-amino-acid peptide derived from a section of the naturally occurring Body Protection Compound (BPC) produced in the stomach, has also demonstrated significant healing properties. Its discovery stemmed from findings showing strong organ-protective and cell-protective effects. Subsequent studies revealed that BPC-157 promotes the healing of various tissues, including skin, muscle, tendons, ligaments, and bones, in animal models. The peptide’s long-lasting effects are attributed to the stability of its pentadecapeptide structure. Additionally, BPC-157 enhances the action of human growth hormone (HGH) by increasing receptor availability. When combined with other peptides that boost HGH levels, it further amplifies growth and recovery benefits. TB-500 is a synthetic version of Thymosin Beta-4 (TB4), a naturally occurring peptide present in nearly all human and animal cells. This first-in-class drug candidate supports several biological processes, including the differentiation of endothelial (blood vessel) cells, angiogenesis (the development of new blood vessels from existing ones) in skin tissues, keratinocyte migration, collagen production, and the reduction of inflammation. A key mechanism behind TB-500’s effectiveness lies in its regulation of actin, a fundamental protein responsible for cell structure and movement. Actin accounts for up to 10% of total cellular proteins, making it essential for maintaining cell integrity and genetic function. TB-500 belongs to a widespread family of 16 related molecules that share a highly conserved sequence and are found throughout most tissues and circulating cells. It binds to actin, prevents its polymerization, and serves as an actin-sequestering molecule within eukaryotic cells. Research identified TB-500 as a gene upregulated four- to sixfold during early blood vessel formation, where it promotes the development of new blood vessels from existing ones. Found naturally in wound fluid, TB-500, when administered subcutaneously, has been shown to accelerate wound healing, support muscle growth, and reduce recovery times for damaged muscle fibers and cells.
